The Association of Certified Public Accountants (CPA UK) is an amalgamation of The Society of Public Accountants which was founded in 1989, and the Association of Certified Public Accountants which was formed in 1991. The Association represents wholly and exclusively the interests of the practising Certified Public Accountant in the United Kingdom.

The Association's National Administration Centre is in Manchester, England.[1] Its principal office is Certified Public Accountants Hall, 9 Wimpole Street, London W1G 9SR.[1]

Qualification

The ACPA offers the qualifications of Certified Public Accountant (ACPA or FCPA). This is the main accounting qualification in the United States; there are also many CPAs in China, Australia and elsewhere.[2] CPA UK was founded in 1989 to offer a British version.[3]
